Weapons Junior Supervisor (Typhoon Aircraft)

About the role

The Weapons Junior Supervisor is an experienced armament technician responsible for detailed maintenance on Typhoon aircraft and components. The role ensures airworthiness through task delegation, authorisation and meeting tactical delivery targets while leading a team and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and authorise maintenance tasks on Typhoon aircraft, ensuring compliance with approved data and regulatory frameworks.
• Perform fault evaluation, diagnostic procedures and functional testing on weapons systems and components.
• Manage tooling, test equipment and configuration control, and oversee oversight checks.
• Develop team members through formal assessments, on‑the‑job training and task allocation.
• Maintain accurate airworthiness records, compile reports and escalate issues to keep the programme on schedule.

Required profile

• Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent military qualification in Aeronautical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience on Typhoon aircraft or similar aerospace platforms.
• Leadership capability with people‑management and communication skills.
• Valid City & Guilds 2675/2661 or HNC in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance.
