Chief French Baker – Luxury Hotel

About the role

The Ned Doha is seeking an experienced Chief French Baker to lead its bakery operations within a luxury hospitality setting. You will be responsible for delivering authentic French breads, viennoiseries, pastries and innovative seasonal creations that enhance the guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily production of French breads, viennoiseries, pastries and specialty baked goods.
• Develop new recipes and seasonal offerings that align with the hotel’s culinary standards.
• Maintain the highest quality, consistency, food‑safety and presentation standards.
• Manage inventory, ordering and cost control while minimizing waste.
• Train, mentor and inspire the bakery team, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Collaborate with the culinary leadership team to support restaurant and event operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Chief Baker, Head Baker or Senior Bakery Leader in a luxury hotel, upscale bakery or comparable hospitality establishment.
• Graduate of a recognized French culinary or bakery school with formal training in French baking and pastry arts.
• Strong expertise in traditional and modern French bread‑making, viennoiserie and artisan baking techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop high‑performing teams.
• Solid understanding of food safety, quality assurance and kitchen operations.
• Creative mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
