Civil Engineer - Pools & Water Features

About the role

A to Z Services Group is looking for a qualified and experienced Civil Engineer to join its Pools & Water Features Division. The successful candidate will oversee civil engineering activities for the construction, refurbishment, repair and maintenance of swimming pools, fountains and water features, ensuring high standards of quality, safety and project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate civil works for swimming pools, fountains and decorative water features.
• Oversee construction, renovation, waterproofing, tiling, concrete repairs and structural maintenance.
• Review engineering drawings, technical specifications and project requirements.
• Inspect sites, identify technical issues and recommend practical engineering solutions.
• Coordinate with MEP teams on pool filtration, piping, drainage, pumps and associated installations.
• Prepare material take-offs, cost estimates, work schedules and progress reports.
• Monitor contractors, subcontractors and site teams against approved specifications and timelines.
• Inspect existing pools and water features, assess defects and develop repair plans.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements and HSE procedures.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and internal operations teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in pool and water feature construction, refurbishment or maintenance.
• Strong technical knowledge of concrete structures, waterproofing, tiling and drainage.
• Experience in site supervision, project coordination and technical problem solving.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Good communication, reporting and organisational skills.
• Previous experience in Qatar or the GCC is an advantage; a valid Qatar driving licence is preferred.
