Pipefitter Foreman - Oil & Gas Project

About the role

Saipem is recruiting a Pipefitter Foreman for its QMS Sentinel project, currently based in Qatar. The foreman coordinates and controls the work of the dependent piping team, distributes equipment and ensures that the work meets safety, quality and schedule requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and control the piping team's work according to the assigned scope, distribute equipment and organise the means, equipment and materials needed
• Ensure operators and team members follow safety standards and project quality requirements
• Analyse drawings received from the works supervisor and instruct the team, then check the work and report difficulties
• Check that modifications made during execution are marked up on drawings so As-Built documentation can be issued
• Report quantities produced and installed, manpower, equipment, tools and materials used, and provide data for progress reports
• Implement the permit-to-work system, liaise with the works supervisor and other disciplines, and ensure adherence to the planned timeframe
• Carry out daily toolbox talks, ensure housekeeping and report anomalies with corrective actions

Required profile

• High school / secondary education
• 10 to 15 years of experience as a Pipefitter Foreman in Oil & Gas
• English language skills required
• Proven experience in pipeline scope onshore and offshore, heavy fabrication yards, refineries, power plants, shipyards, offshore jacket installation, wind farm installation, and deck, conductor, piling and boat landing installations

Required skills

• Manual SMAW/FCAW welding, cold and hot cutting, oxyacetylene and plasma cutting, milling, turning and lathe work, drilling
• Isometric and bevel designs, fittings, torqueing, steel fabrication and erection, lifting and rigging, installation and assembly
• Materials: carbon steel flowline, clad, Inconel 625/825, stainless steel 314L/316L
