Cyber Security Officer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Officer to lead and enhance our information and cybersecurity framework in Doha. The role involves identifying risks, implementing controls, and overseeing incident response and data protection across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the company’s cybersecurity strategy, policies, and procedures.
• Identify, assess, and monitor cybersecurity risks, vulnerabilities, and control gaps.
• Maintain the cybersecurity risk register and track remediation plans.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement and monitor technical and security controls.
• Oversee security monitoring, incident response, investigation, recovery and escalation.
• Review security requirements for new systems, cloud services and digital initiatives.
• Assess cybersecurity risks associated with vendors and third‑party services.
• Manage information classification, data protection and secure handling of sensitive data.
• Develop and deliver cybersecurity awareness and training programs.
• Prepare and present risk, incident, compliance and program‑status reports to senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum 5–6 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, IT or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Qatar Central Bank (QCB) cybersecurity requirements and regulatory obligations.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain security policies, frameworks and risk registers.
