Design Technology Specialist Teacher (IBDP/HSD)

About the role

The school is seeking a passionate Design Technology Specialist Teacher to deliver high‑quality instruction across middle and high school levels, including the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and High School Diploma (HSD). The successful candidate will inspire students, develop creative projects, and contribute to the growth of the Design Technology department.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Design Technology to Grades 6‑8 (Years 7‑9) and Grades 9‑12 (Years 10‑13) in both IBDP and HSD tracks.
• Plan, develop, and adapt curriculum to meet diverse student needs while maintaining progression.
• Assess and record student development, identifying areas for improvement.
• Maintain a safe, respectful classroom environment and promote high standards of behaviour.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leaders to support student success.
• Contribute to department development, creating engaging learning opportunities and resources.

• Proven experience teaching Design Technology at middle and high school levels.

• Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families.
