Food Safety & Hygiene Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for a highly organized Food Safety & Hygiene Supervisor to join Rixos Premium Qetaifan Island North. In this role you will work closely with food handling teams and the Food Safety & Hygiene Manager to ensure all food outlets meet the highest safety and hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and conduct regular inspections and audits of food production processes, facilities, and equipment to ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Deliver training sessions to employees on proper food handling, storage, sanitation, and disposal procedures.
• Monitor the effectiveness of food safety and hygiene programs and recommend corrective actions and continuous improvements.
• Investigate food safety incidents, guest complaints, and non‑conformities, implementing appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and operations teams to ensure smooth implementation of food safety standards.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of food safety regulations and industry best practices to keep the organization compliant.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to inspections, audits, training, and compliance activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Microbiology or a related field (master’s degree is a plus).
• Certification in food safety and hygiene such as HACCP or ServSafe.
• Proven experience in food safety, hygiene or quality assurance within hospitality or food service, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP, FDA, USDA).
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
