Senior Backend Developer – Java (Banking, RESTful APIs)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer with strong Java expertise to design, develop, and maintain high‑performance RESTful APIs for a banking client in Doha. You will work with Spring Boot and micro‑services architecture to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.
• Architect micro‑services and distributed systems that meet banking standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and infrastructure teams to define requirements and ensure successful deployments.
• Optimize API performance, conduct code reviews, and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Implement DevOps practices for continuous integration and continuous delivery.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 8‑10 years of professional Java development experience, preferably in the banking domain.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience coordinating with infrastructure teams for application deployment.
