Test Lead – Software Testing

About the role

Quality Professionals (Q-Pros) is seeking an experienced Test Lead to drive software quality for a client in Qatar. The role involves leading testing activities, coordinating with cross‑functional teams, and ensuring delivery of high‑quality software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Review software requirements and specifications to identify gaps and ambiguities.
• Develop and maintain test strategies and detailed test plans.
• Assign tasks, oversee test case design, execution, and defect management.
• Ensure comprehensive functional and non‑functional test coverage.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to uphold quality standards.
• Lead and mentor a testing team across multiple projects, fostering continuous improvement.
• Monitor, report and communicate testing progress, results, risks and KPIs to management.

Required profile

• University degree in IT or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in quality control and software testing.
• Professional testing certifications are a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking and a positive, professional attitude.
