Youth Development Intern – Gulf Area Office (Qatar, 3 months)

About the role

UNICEF’s Gulf Area Office in Qatar is looking for a motivated Youth Development Intern to support the implementation of youth‑focused programmes over a three‑month period. The internship offers hands‑on experience working with the Youth and Adolescent Development Manager, the Ministry of Sports and Youth and other local partners.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design and delivery of youth participation and engagement initiatives.
• Support youth skills‑development and transition‑to‑earning pathways projects.
• Prepare background material and logistical support for the Arab Forum on Youth, Peace and Security.
• Develop and follow‑up Terms of Reference for selected youth‑related initiatives.
• Contribute to the National Action Plan discussions on Youth Peace and Security.
• Coordinate youth‑focused partnerships, events and meetings with UNICEF, the Ministry of Sports and Youth and other UN agencies.
• Document meeting proceedings and maintain records of programme activities.

Required profile

• Current undergraduate, graduate or post‑graduate student interested in youth development, child protection or international development.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a multicultural environment.
