About the role
The Government Sales Manager will drive hotel revenue by targeting government and corporate accounts, leveraging market insights and a strong network in the region. Fluency in Arabic and English is essential to build relationships and secure repeat business.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse local market trends and competitor activity to identify new business leads.
- Develop and nurture customer accounts within the government and corporate sectors to increase market share across all revenue streams.
- Negotiate room rates and packages with corporate clients.
- Create and execute creative local marketing initiatives, including social‑media campaigns.
- Prepare and manage contracts in line with current pricing and business conditions.
- Collaborate with hotel departments to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
- Attend sales events and represent the hotel as required.
- Produce accurate reports on appointments, calls, and leads for senior management.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries.
- Recruit, train, and manage the sales team, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Required profile
- Positive attitude with excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to high‑level customer service and professional grooming standards.
- Flexibility to adapt to varied work situations and ability to work under pressure.
- Proven sales experience with a track record of closing deals.
- Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
- Knowledge of the local market and hospitality industry.
- Passion for achieving sales targets.
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification.
