About the role
The Head Bartender oversees bar operations, ensuring a positive customer experience and smooth daily running of the outlet. This role involves leading the bar team, managing inventory, and creating an engaging atmosphere for guests.
Key responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day bar operations, including opening/closing procedures, inventory, and cash handling.
- Provide leadership, training, scheduling, and performance management for bar staff.
- Create a welcoming atmosphere, deliver exceptional service, and address guest concerns.
- Develop and update cocktail menus in line with trends, preferences, and seasonal ingredients.
- Train the team on cocktail techniques, product knowledge, and responsible alcohol service.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized bar area and equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock to minimize waste and maximize profitability.
- Stay current with industry trends and share knowledge with the team.
- Collaborate on special events, promotions, and beverage initiatives.
